6th National Long Service Awards Ceremony for Fire Personnel

Long Service Awards

Michael Kitt, T.D. Minister of State at Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government presented long service awards to Fire Personnel in Dublin on 20/11/2008. Cork City Fire Brigade had 8 members receiving awards for 30 years service and 11 members receiving awards for 20 years service.

Awards for 30 years service were granted to the following Fire Personnel:

  • Gerard Lucey -  Senior Executive Fire Prevention Officer
  • David King – Senior Executive Fire Prevention Officer
  • Declan O’Shea – Third Officer
  • Sean Duggan – Station Officer
  • Rory Kelly –Sub Officer
  • John Hosford – Sub Officer
  • Corneilius O’Callaghan – Firefighter
  • Patrick Heas – Firefighter.

Awards for 20 years service were granted to the following Fire Personnel.

  • Breandan O’Donnchu – Sub Officer
  • Martin Coughlan – Sub Officer
  • Finbarr O’Donoghue – Leading Firefighter
  • Robert Mc Gowan -  Leading Firefighter
  • Niall Hedderman – Leading Fire Fighter
  • Peter Stout – Firefighter
  • Brian O’Shea – Firefighter
  • Michael Kenrick -  Firefighter
  • Philip Doherty – Fire fighter
  • Conor Buckley – Fire fighter
  • Noel Heaney – Leading Firefighter
