Cork City Fire Brigade has been involved in a number of Road Safety initiatives in conjunction with the Road Safety Authority, H.S.E., and An Garda Siochana.

In August 2008 a road traffic collision simulation was held in the Car park at Halfords Mahon Point. The purpose of this simulation was to highlight the importance of road safety and illustrate the effects of a road traffic accident.
