Road Traffic Collision Simulation

Cork City Fire Brigade took part in an Emergency Voluntary Services Information and Recruitment Exhibition in February 2009. This initiative was organized by the Knocknaheeny/Hollyhill Garda Youth Diversion Project under the European Social Fund. It was opened by Minister of State for Education and Science, Batt O'Keeffe.

Cork City Fire Brigade contributed by:

(a) Particpating in a simulated Road Traffic Collision in conjunction with An Garda Siochana and HSE.

(b) Fire Prevention Staff provided information on fire safety at the Cork City Fire Brigade stand.

(c) Civil Defence undertook exercises in the area of Technical Line rescue - abseiling and an AFS simulated fire display.
